Join us here at Burbank House & Garden for this workshop with Leanne Barnett, ‘creative and playful maker of woven things’.
Coil weaving is an ancient practice that can be both functional & creative. It is a slow & meditative technique- it quietens the busy mind while using your hands. It is an opportunity to sit with others and create something unique and beautiful.
During this 2 ½ hour class you will learn how to use raffia to make a small basket using the coiling technique. You will learn how to start a basket, to form a shape, and to finish off.
All materials will be supplied, and you will take home extra raffia & a coil starter so you can complete your basket if needed and make another at home if you would like to practice your new skills.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received up to 10 days before the workshop date will receive a full refund. For cancellations received 10 days or less before the workshop we can refund 50% of the workshop fee, or credit the entire fee to a future workshop. This enables us to make places available to other participants and to cover the cost of materials. Thank you.
