One Tree Per Child
Calling all green-thumbed Grandma & Grandpa gardeners! The month of July is ‘One Tree Per Child’ month, an initiative that aims to have one tree or shrub planted for every child by the time they leave school.
But it’s so much more than that! One Tree Per Child is an opportunity to spend some quality time with your kids or grandkids, make some good memories and get your hands dirty in the great outdoors. Spending time with kids in the garden encourages them to find inspiration away from the computer screen, fosters their physical and mental health and teaches them to care for plants and the environment. Awesome!
Burbank House & Garden is proud to be partnering with this Australia-wide event. Mention One Tree Per Child in the nursery when you purchase a tree or shrub and you’ll receive a commemorative certificate to be signed by you as grandparent or custodian. It’s not just a plant; it’s a beautiful memory to reflect on as your tree grows long into the future! The Certificate will be part of a Presentation Pack containing a Planting Guide, Activity Ideas for the Young, an invitation to join a quarterly gardening Enews, and more.
For the next month, Burbank is running a competition to add to the fun and help you along your gardening adventure. Take a picture of you and the budding gardener in your life when planting your tree or shrub, post it to Facebook and tag us in and you’ll enter the draw to win a $50 gift voucher to spend instore.
Activity Kits & Certificates are limited so make sure you get one before they run out! Competition will be drawn 15 August 2024.

Cancellation Policy
We love making interesting events and workshops available to our customers and friends. On occasion however, things don’t always go according to plan! While every effort is made for our events to go ahead as advertised, on rare occasions events may amended or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. We thank you in advance for your understanding and flexibility on these rare instances.
For paid events: If a paid event is cancelled by Burbank, a full refund will be offered. If you need to cancel, a full refund will be provided up to 7 days before the event. A 50% refund will be provided up to 48 hours before the event, or the cost of the ticket can be credited to a future event. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the event. Thank you!
